REST IN PEACE, GEORGE JONES, LEGENDARY COUNTRY MUSIC STAR!

Rest In Peace, George Jones!

The Legendary Country Music Star, George Jones, Died On Friday At Vanderbilt University Hospital. He was 81 and had been suffering from recurring fever, blood pressure and respiratory problems.

It's quite surprising that George Jones Was On His Farewell Tour That Began Last Year And Was To Close At Nashville In This November Where He Was To Be Accompanied By Many Music Stars In His Honor!

Alas! That was not to be in the scheme of Almighty And The Crooner Was Called To Heaven To Perform His Hits In His Signature Baritone!

Born on August 12, 1931 in Saratoga town of Eastern Texas, he had started his music devotion by playing in the dusty streets of his town and before church of his area.

He shifted to Nashville,Tennesse which was considered as the Mecca of Country Music.

George Jones' Music Career Spanned Over Almost Six Decades, starting in fifties .
In such a longtime George Jones saw many upheavals in his personal as well as professional life.

He married four times, the last one in 1983 with Nancy who helped him redeem himself after a prolong battle with Alcohol n Cocain Addictions -- things that dominated his life since late 60s to early 80s and earned him a bad press plus an unwelcome nickname,NO SHOW JONES for he had notoriously been missing his performances due to addictions!

Jones' second wife was Tammy Wynette who herself was the most sought after female country singer of her times, and with whom Jones had had many duets some of them superhits.
George Jones and Wynette got divorced just 6yrs after their marriage, yet they remained friends and continued singing together.

Jones produced a whopping 168 records and had many songs making the top 40 lists on billboards.
George Jones' Hits Are:-

'IF DRINKIN DOES NOT KILL ME(HER MEMORY WILL)' , 'SHE THINKS I STILL I CARE' , 'WE'LL HOLD ON' , 'HE STOPPED LOVING HER TODAY' . . . .et.al are some of the treasures of country music!

His greatest number, He Stopped Loving Her Today, happened when he was going through the most troubled times as he had to check in a rehab ,but unable to stay beyond a month and he was almost down. . .but,he was never out !

Music in general and country music in particular has lost one legend whose shoes nobody ever has filled in and never will any be!

The void created by Jones' demise will be haunting forever!

Certainly Today For Millions of Music Lovers : 'Things Have Gone To Pieces' And It's Very Hard To Say : 'We'll Hold On' !

May Almighty Bless His Soul!
