AMERICAN AUTHOR AND NOBEL AWARDEE,SAUL BELLOW,WAS BORN THIS DAY, on June 10, 1915 In Canada !He became as American Citizen after his family had shifted from Quebec To Chicago When Saul Bellow was still in his teens.SAUL BELLOW & CHICAGO BECAME INTERTWINED! The writer lived mostly in the windy city wherein he studied Anthropology n Sociology At Northwestern University And Wherein He Took To Teaching -a job so dear to him that he remained a lifelong teacher n had taught at various universities.
Saul Bellow Had Served In The US MERCHANT NAVY During The World War II And It Was During That Job He Wrote His First Novel, THE DANGLING MAN -a novel based upon the drafting of young people in the US FORCES during war and the psychological plights that the young people had to endure through war days!
