Today Robert Bly,An Eminent American Poet , Translator and Activist, Turns 87 !
Born On December 23, 1926 In Madison,Minnesota,USA, Robert Bly Is Unanimously Considered As One Of The Greatest Contemporary American Poets .He Is A Prolific Author Who Has Written Nearly 40 Books,Much Of That Is Poetry Collections.
Robert Bly Has An Eclectic Approach To Literature,especially, Poetry And Has A Rather Wider Interests In Poems Penned By The Poets Of Languages Other Than English.
He Has Translated The Works Of Great Spanish Poets Like Federico Garcia Lorca, Pablo Neruda n Others.He Also Had The Works Of Many Swedish and Norwegian Poets Translated Including The Poetry Of The Swedish Poet n Nobel Laureate,Tomas Transtromer.
Bly Has A Great Inclination Towards The Mythology n Nature n Pre-Christian Religions.
He Has Compiled The Works Of Indian Saint-Poets Like Mirabai n Kabir.
